Below we have addressed some common topics. If you still have a question, please don't hesitate to contact us!

What makes the GOSHEN Turkey Trot different from the others?

The Goshen TT is an authentic, small town New England, Thanksgiving day race with a deep history and rich tradition. It is decidedly and deliberately NOT a mass production. We are all about hot cider and locally baked donuts, warm smiles and handshakes around the bonfire, and a pedestrian tour of open farmland and wooded dirt roads.

Are WALKERS welcome?

Yes!

Are DOGS welcome?

Dogs must be leashed and it is the responsibility of the owner to keep their animal under control and in the Thanksgiving spirit at all times. With that said ... yes, dogs are welcome!

Are JOGGING STROLLERS welcome?

Yes! Be advised that much of the course is dirt and of course we cannot predict the impact of Mother Nature. However, the Goshen town crew typically does a fantastic job prepping the roads. We usually have a number of people take their jogging strollers out on the course.

What if it snows?

Suck it up, Buttercup! This is Goshen!

Seriously, for four decades this event has been undeterred by any and all weather conditions. Sometimes it's magnificent! Other times we find the hills of Goshen blanketed in snow, in which case it is STILL magnificent! (Just a different kind of magnificence!) Who knows. Some kind of meteorological craziness may force us to alter the race plan one of these years ... but it hasn't happened yet!
